looking back year 2008

It's almost turning a new page to 2009.
Looking back...I realised...
2008 is also a year of many new beginnings and things for me.
All I can tell is just the Lord's generous love and grace.

Church
Apart going to Hop Yat Church services and Sunday School (selected topic), I have joined the Bible Study Fellowship (BSF), so I can study the Bible regularly (+incentives!). It's just a totally new experience for me and studying God's word is .... just wonderful!

Academic
I have resumed in August, then went for my second comprehensive, and then "turbo"ed all the way to my research proposal, and finally, an oral defense. All done within these four months...amazing, nothing I can utter, except praise the Lord! It's the best Christmas present ever. I have to give thanks to the Lord and a "thank-you" to my thesis supervisor and all those who helped along.

Travel
Searching through my blog, I visited quite a lot of places this year.
But, the tiny not & zero made even more travels than I do.
They went to sosososososososo many places.
Australia: South Coast, Sydney
China: Shanghai, Jinan
Hong Kong: HK Disneyland, Kat Hing Wai, Peng Chau, Fung Yuen
Japan: Osaka, Hokkaido
Macau
North America: Las Vegas, Edmonton, Vancouver, Calgary, Lake Louise & Banff, Toronto
Singapore
Taiwan: Taichung, Wulai, Hualien

It is already more than enough to make a travel magazine by not & zero.
Well, I have to thank my beloved friends who took "not & zero" with them wherever they went.

Art work--- not_zero workshop
Not_zero workshop is still active, in the sense that when I have time to paint, I will do it. The workshop has "expanded" a little bit with an acquisition of an easel, canvas of different sizes, different mediums...recently, a professional artist apron has been presented to the workshop (thanks, ygigi).
I am still experimenting different mediums and materials. Though not all the products are commercial in nature in the past, I feel more uplifted while working according to my pace and energy. I am doing acrylic painting (large and small paintings on canvas) and water colour drawing (mostly greeting cards!). I drew two stories this year, a very hungry snake and through the darkness. Not yet published, but some day they will. ^___^

I wish all of my beloved friends a peaceful, wonderful and blessed new year!
